EDB Fakel’s specialist participated in the 6th corporate competition “Young professionals of Roscosmos 2021” according to the standards of the WorldSkills international competition

The competition was held from 15th to 21st of August in a face-to-face format in 11 places in Moscow and Moscow oblast.

More than 500 competitors from 32 enterprises of the Roscosmos State Corporation competed for 6 days in 20 spheres of competence such as “Milling operations on numerical control machines”, “Turning operations on numerical control machines”, “Electronics”, “Space systems engineering”, “Engineering design CAD”, “Industrial automation”, “Network and system administration”, “Corporate protection from information security internal threats”, “Engineer-technologist”, “Labor protection”, “Recruiter”, “Electrical wiring”, “Internet marketing”, “Welding technologies”, “Laboratory chemical analysis”, “Environment protection”, “Prototypes manufacturing”, “Non-destructive analysis”, “Additive production” and “Life cycle control”. An expert group of judges assessed the competitors according to professional criteria, where the number of criteria consisted of up to 350 aspects.

In the course of the competition all the competitors used their professional skills and abilities to the maximum solving the set tasks in a creative and non-standard way.

EDB Fakel (a part of JSC NPO Energomash rocket engine manufacturing integrated structure of the Roscosmos state corporation) was represented by a young specialist and outstanding talent Viktor Rusanov. He defended the honor of the enterprise in the competence of engineering design (CAD) of internal combustion engines. The competitors demonstrated their skills in the design of parts, creation of animated images, making drawings, strength calculations and rendering.

A participation in the event according to the standards of the WorldSkills international competition is highly rated by the professionals of the rocket and space industry. As noted by the director of the administrative department of the Roscosmos State Corporation Dmitrii Shishkin: “a personal development and self-development are the priority values for the professional skills competitions, and the ability to motivate yourself, your team and put maximum tasks in front of you is an essential skill that can be done by true professionals.
