On December 17, 2018, a group of EDB Fakel specialists visited G. Budker Institute of nuclear physics of the Siberian branch of the Russian academy of sciences (Novosibirsk). The visit objective was to discuss a possible scientific and technical co-operation when developing new perspective layouts of electric propulsion systems.

Nowadays, the Institute is a unique scientific organization combining the fundamental, exploratory and applied research works in the field of nuclear physics, high-energy physics, elementary particles physics, accelerators physics, plasma physics including high-temperature plasma physics, controlled thermonuclear fusion and industrial production of modern technological scientific equipment, which is actively used in many Russian and foreign physics centers - (HZB (Germany), CERN (Switzerland), DESY (Germany), BNL (USA), PSI (Switzerland), DIAMOND (England), CLS (Canada), ALBA (Spain), ESRF (France), KEK (Japan), XFEL (Germany), NICA (Russia), ITER (France), FAIR (Germany) and others).

The specialists visited the main laboratories of the Institute, viewed the systems developed and experimental production area (the production facility of the Institute), which is the largest in the Russian academy of sciences, and took part in a meeting on the co-operation matters.

The visit resulted in a set of co-joint events scheduled in the field of science and space technology development with a Protocol of intensions prepared.
